Revival Magazine - Vol. 02
Revival Magazine is a non-profit art magazine at CSUEB (Cal State University East Bay) that was made to expose and utilize the talents within the art department; on top of bridging the divided studio and electronic media artists.
I was part of the core team that established this publication and successfully launched two magazines before graduating. As Editor-in-chief, not only did I provide creative direction of the magazine, but I helped secure donors to publish it.
This second volume featured a very distinguished alumnus from the art department named Matt Ritchie, who also goes by the name of rat136. Matt is known for his computer like illustrations on tiny wood cut paintings. His story features his accomplished work in the art world on top of his time as a student here at CSUEB.
Matt was one of our biggest accomplishments. The other was incorporating groundbreaking 360 technology in a 2D magazine. If you scan the QR code on our featured artist Brett Dotson's page, it will take you to a 360 degree installation of his piece at our university gallery. We have not only found a way to immortalized a piece of art that was not meant to last, but we've included an immersive way for you to interact with that piece.
Last but not least, if you want to view the full magazine, please click here. Please also check out those who contributed into making this magazine a reality.
